TL;DR
Winter (July 2–9) is the 2000s week of Horizon Decades. The two seasonal reward cars are the 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10 (20 pts, Forza Horizon debut) and the 2003 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning (40 pts). The Weekly Challenge runs through the 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI GSR TM Edition, The Trial this week pays out a 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia, and there’s a Treasure Hunt chest worth 100,000 Credits hidden in the Sotoyama snowy region. All events this week lean hard into 2000s-era cars, so start thinking about your S1 2000s build now — three of the PR Stunts need one.
What Changed Today
The Thursday reset rolled Winter in and closed out Autumn for good. The 1998 TVR Cerbera Speed 12 and 1993 Schuppan 962CR are gone. If you missed them, that’s it for this series. Winter runs through July 9.
Car Pass holders get the 1998 Nissan Skyline GT-R 40th Anniversary today as the third of four Car Pass cars in Series 2. If your series total is tracking well, you have two weeks left to reach the 80-point Porsche or 160-point Lotus Exige — check where you are before deciding how hard to push this week.
Seasonal Reward Cars
| Points | Car | Note |
|---|---|---|
| 20 pts | 2006 Dodge Ram SRT-10 | Forza Horizon series debut — packs the Viper’s 8.3L V10 |
| 40 pts | 2003 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning | Supercharged SVT pickup, returning from FM4 |
The Ram SRT-10 is the one to go for first. It hasn’t appeared in a Forza Horizon game before — it was last in any Forza game at all back in Forza Motorsport 4 — and the idea of a Viper V10 in a full-size truck still holds up as genuinely funny and fast. You’ll also need it for a badge (more below). 20 points is achievable in a single evening.
Weekly Challenge: Evo VI Season
This week’s car-specific grind uses the 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition. The four steps run in order:
- Own and drive the 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition
- Complete 3 laps at the Sekibe Time Attack
- Earn 3 Stars at the Festival Loop Speed Zone
- Win a Dirt Race
Reward: 5 PTS + 25,000 Cr
The Sekibe Time Attack laps and the Speed Zone stars are the only parts that might take a few tries — the Dirt Race win is easy enough in the Evo VI since it’s AWD and handles off-road well. If you don’t already own the Evo VI, budget for the Autoshow purchase before starting the chain.
Daily Challenges
All seven are worth 1 PT + 5,000 Cr each and stay completable for the rest of the week once they unlock daily at 14:30 UTC.
| # | Challenge | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Park at the Evolving World Car Meet in any car from the 2000s | Head to the Hokubu Time Attack Circuit area |
| 2 | Earn 3 Drift Tap Skills in any car from the 2000s | Tap a wall lightly at speed — any 2000s car works |
| 3 | Complete 1 lap at any Time Attack Circuit in any Peel | Peel = Peel Engineering microcars (P50, Trident). Buy one at the Autoshow if you don’t own one |
| 4 | Earn a total of 3 Stars at Trailblazers in any car from the 2000s | Any Trailblazer event, 2000s car |
| 5 | Win a Road Circuit Racing in any Eclectic Domestic car | “Eclectic Domestic” is a car category in FH6 — check your garage filters |
| 6 | Earn a Threading the Needle Skill in any Mini | Threading the Needle = driving fast through a narrow gap. Any MINI brand car |
| 7 | Earn 3 Stars at the Inner City Run Drift Zone in any car from the 2000s | Inner City Run is a Drift Zone — 3 stars will need a solid 2000s drift setup |
Day 3 is the one to flag — if you don’t own a Peel, you’ll need to grab one from the Autoshow before attempting it. They’re cheap but easy to forget about. Just do one lap and you’re done.
Treasure Hunt
Follow the Photo Clue to Discover the Treasure! — Sotoyama Region Reward: 3 PTS + 100,000 Cr
The chest is up in the Sotoyama snowy region — at the north end of the ski trails, inside a wooden shack with a mountain view. It’s in the snowy part of the map, so fit snow or off-road tyres before heading up. 100,000 Credits and 3 points for driving to a hut is the best value-per-minute on this week’s playlist. Do it early.
Photo Challenge
Take a photo of any Rally Monster from the 2000s Reward: 2 PTS + “You’re a MONSTER!” Forza Link phrase
Rally Monsters are a specific car category in FH6. Filter your garage by that type and grab a 2000s example, or borrow one from someone else in a session. Two points and a Forza Link phrase — quick and easy.
Online Events
The Trial — B 600 2000s Total FWD — Road Racing
Reward: 10 PTS + 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia
This is the biggest single points drop of the week and the reward is legitimately excellent — the Ferrari 430 Scuderia is a mid-2000s track-focused Ferrari that costs significantly more in the Autoshow. Earning it here for ten points of playlist effort is a strong deal.
The catch: Total FWD means front-wheel drive cars only, at B Class 600 PI, using 2000s vehicles. The Trial also requires your gold Wristband to access. FWD B-Class 2000s isn’t a deep field — do your homework on a quick FWD tune before jumping in, especially since The Trial pits your team against Unbeatable Drivatars in a 6v6 format.
Horizon Play — Horizon Racing in any Sports Utility Heroes vehicle
Reward: 3 PTS + 2003 Honda S2000
Sports Utility Heroes is a car category in FH6 (SUV-type vehicles). Complete any Horizon Racing event in one and the Honda S2000 is yours — a great driver’s car from 2003 and a nice garage addition regardless of whether you’re chasing it for racing or just collecting.
The Eliminator — Finish 30th or better
Reward: 2 PTS + 2008 Renault Mégane R26.R
Finish 30th or better — meaning don’t be among the first 30 to get eliminated. This is one of the more lenient Eliminator thresholds in recent weeks. Hang back at the start, avoid early 1v1s unless you’re confident, and you should be fine. The Mégane R26.R is a hot hatch legend worth having.
PR Stunts
All three PR Stunts this week need an S1 800 2000s car — sort your garage by year and class before attempting.
| Stunt | Target | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route Speed Zone | 100 mph (161 km/h) | 2 PTS + Wheelspin |
| Mt. Haruna Drift Zone | 115,000 PTS | 2 PTS + Wheelspin |
| Hokubu Time Attack | 00:50.000 or faster | 3 PTS + Wheelspin |
The Speed Zone is the most straightforward — 100 mph in an S1 car on that route should be comfortable. The Mt. Haruna Drift Zone at 115,000 points will require an actual drift-tuned setup and some clean chained scoring; don’t attempt it in a random all-rounder and expect to hit it first try. The Hokubu Time Attack at sub-50 seconds is tight but achievable with a well-tuned S1 car that handles the circuit layout.
Seasonal Championships
Stray From The Path — B 600 2000s Modern Rally — Cross Country Racing
Reward: 5 PTS + 2006 Audi RS 4
Modern Rally cars at B Class 600 PI, 2000s, across Cross Country routes. The Audi RS 4 reward is solid — AWD, estate body, practical and quick. A good B Class Modern Rally 2000s build will carry you through comfortably.
Retro Rewind — A 700 2000s Retro Sports Cars — Street Racing
Reward: 5 PTS + 2001 Acura Integra Type R
The DC5 Integra Type R — one of the most beloved Japanese sports cars of the 2000s and a genuine FWD performance benchmark of its era. It’s an A 700 Street Racing championship with 2000s Retro Sports Cars, so your build options are strong. If you’ve been wanting this car in your garage, this is the week to earn it.
Monthly Rivals
Narai-Juku Circuit — Post a clean lap in the 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau Reward: 4 PTS + Super Wheelspin
Note: this requires the 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau, which is the 80-point Series reward. If you haven’t unlocked it yet, come back to this once you hit that Series milestone. The Super Wheelspin makes it worth doing the moment you have the Porsche available.

| PR Stunts (all 3) | 7 |

To hit the 20-point Ram SRT-10: dailies (7) + weekly (5) + treasure hunt (3) + photo challenge (2) + Eliminator (2) = 19 points, and one more event tips you over. Easy.
To hit the 40-point F-150 Lightning: add The Trial and/or both championships on top of the above — you’ll be there before the end of the week without grinding anything.
What’s Actually Worth Prioritising
Treasure Hunt first — 3 points and 100,000 Credits for a single drive to a hut in the snow. Always do this before anything else.
The Trial if you can field a solid FWD B-Class 2000s car — 10 points and a Ferrari 430 Scuderia is the best reward-per-event on the playlist this week by a significant margin. Run it with a group if you can.
Retro Rewind Championship for the Acura Integra Type R — if you don’t own one, this is the way to get a genuinely great driver’s car from the 2000s without spending Credits.
Monthly Rivals once you have the Porsche — 4 points and a Super Wheelspin for a single clean lap. Don’t sleep on this if you’ve hit the 80-point threshold.
Day 3 (Peel) early — easiest to forget, requires a specific car you might not own. Get it done so it’s not an unnecessary scramble at the end of the week.
FAQ
Do I need a specific car for the Weekly Challenge? Yes — the 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR TM Edition. Buy it from the Autoshow if you don’t already have it, then complete the four steps in order.
What is “Total FWD” in The Trial? Front-wheel drive cars only. Your Trial entry needs to be a B 600 PI FWD 2000s car — plan your build before heading in.
What counts as a Peel for Day 3? Peel Engineering microcars — the Peel P50 and Peel Trident are the main ones. Find them in the Autoshow and just complete a single lap at any Time Attack Circuit.
Can I do Monthly Rivals without the Porsche? No — it specifically requires the 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Leichtbau, which is the 80-point Series reward. Come back once you’ve unlocked it.
Where is the Treasure Hunt chest? Sotoyama region, north end of the ski trails — wooden shack with a mountain view. Bring snow or off-road tyres.
What if I still need the 80-point Porsche? You have Winter and Spring remaining (up to 53 pts each). If you’re below 80 total across Summer and Autumn, you’ll need a strong finish to both remaining weeks. Prioritise The Trial (10 pts) and the championships this week.
